Every touch typing program I have tried has always been so boring and repetitive… after a while, you get better at typing purely because the drills get embedded into your brain.

I’ve also purchased typing programs like TypeQuick and while they’re great for learning the basics of touch typing, they’re a bit expensive.

If you’re already familiar with HOW to touch type and want to work on your speed and accuracy, try TypeRacer.

TypeRacer is a pretty simple concept; type out a paragraph of text against other TypeRacer users and first over the line wins. The text is sourced from a number of books and I’m yet to type the same paragraph twice. You don’t need to register if you don’t want to.

I love that it’s a FREE way to brush up on your fab typing skills without installing anything on  your computer (handy at work).

Do you do anything to try to maintain your typing skills?
